Why taking the CPE?
As a CPE holder since 2006, I am aware of how much this certificate impacts on someone’s career. Taking C2 Proficiency is hard and the boldest move one can make in their teaching career language-wise. I have been working with exam preparation for many years and I am confident I am able to help you develop linguistically and also be more aware when it comes to exam techniques.
C2 Proficiency is the ultimate language certification and teachers who are willing to devote their time and effort will thrive in their career with such an achievement. Being a C2 Proficiency holder sets you apart from other candidates in selection processes and guarantees your high command of the English language.
What Should I know about the course?
This course aims at preparing teachers to take the Cambridge English: Proficiency.
Reduced number of participants: minimum of 5 and maximum of 7.
You will be provided with guidance on strategies and have countless language development opportunities during this course. One full mock test will be given in class, as well as a number of practice exercises. Students also have the option of signing up for a second mock test in April outside class hours.
What materials will I use?
Materials depend on the group. Do not buy books without consulting with me first.

What are the requirements?
There will be a preliminary needs analysis to ensure that candidates’ individual needs can be accommodated and that they have a certain level of proficiency.
Smartphones and tablets are not recommended. You will need regular access to a computer with an Internet connection. High speed broadband access (at least 10Mbps) is highly recommended.
You will also need a headset and a webcam (your computer may have an in-built camera).
How much is the course?
6 instalments of R$399 via boleto or get 5% discount if you pay upfront- R$2274,3.

I had CPE lessons with Taylor and I must say that they were fun. If you have ever taken a look at a CPE (mock) test, you probably got surprised when I used the word “fun” hahaha well, that’s the thing! The classes approached more than the English language itself, it always involved authentic pieces of news, interviews, songs, podcasts, etc. I remember discussing about topics which were pretty difficult to talk about, even in Portuguese. When you understand that English is more than simply preparing for a test, you start to see it with different eyes. So, besides extremely useful exam strategies, I learned how important it is to connect the language with the world.

Fiz o curso preparatório para o CPE com Taylor. Foram dois semestres imersos não só na estrutura da prova, em estratégias de tempo e interpretação, como também em prática real da língua. Considerava o meu inglês muito bom antes de entrar, mas ao longo das aulas percebi o quanto precisava melhorar em todas as quatro habilidades. Mergulhei em todos os exercícios propostos e aproveitei ao máximo todas as aulas, e posso dizer que o meu ótimo resultado na prova valeu a pena o investimento.
