Foundations is the course that will teach you the theory behind the teaching of the four skills and the four systems, making your teaching more principled, efficient and fun.

You will also learn a variety of techniques and tips to make sure you feel equipped to apply the theory you will see in Foundations.

For those who would like to brush up their knowledge, Foundations can also be taken as separate modules.

Foundations is an online, asynchronous, 40-hour long course, divided into 8 core modules:

Reading foundations;
Listening foundations;
Writing foundations;
Speaking foundations;
Grammar foundations;
Lexis foundations;
Phonology foundations;
Discourse foundations.

Each module comprises 5 hours. You will have guided input via videos, articles and consolidation activities.

Foundations is the introductory course that will make you feel more confident about your teaching, and give you a solid background to pursue other qualifications.
